PRODUCT INFORMATION

These Tibetan Skull Beads are an autunitic item of Tibetan culture and sourced directly from Tibet. Each of the beads were laboriously hand-carved from Tibetan yak bone into small skull beads and then strung on durable non-stretchy string.

Tibetan Skull Beads are a type of Buddhist mala commonly used in the practice of meditation and religious or spiritual practices. It originated in Tibet, as a means to contemplate the meaning of life and death during meditation practices, and help the user to better understanding of the impermanent nature of life.

In Tibetan culture, beads fashioned from animal bones into small skulls are symbolic of honoring the beasts of burden, such as the mighty Tibetan yak, which have served mankind. And so the Tibetans also feel that wearing animal bone skull beads can help them to understand the importance of serving their fellow neighbors.

This Skull Mala Bracelet is a one-of-a-kind item sourced directly from Tibet. Each of the beads were laboriously hand-carved from Tibetan deer antler into small skull beads and then strung on durable stretchy cord.
