Since ancient times, the Shurangama Sutra has been considered to be the single most important starting point for seekers of divine wisdom. According to ancient scriptures, Gautama Buddha entrusted the Shurangama Sutra to the Bodhisattva Manjushri, for safe keeping and for the transmission of its contents far and wide. It was believed that the survival of Buddhism and humanity, would one day rest solely on this text.
An incredible 990 silver Buddha Medallion and polyester Chinese sliding knot rope necklace. The medallion depicts Gautama Buddha meditating at the center in the lotus posture with both hands in the Dhyana mudra. The entire Shurangama Sutra is engraved in a circular format around Gautama Buddha, in the Siddham Script. The backside of this Buddha Medallion is also engraved with the Shurangama Sutra in a circular format.
