Acala (Fudo Myo-o) is revered throughout all of Asia as the guardian protector of Buddhism and the destroyer of delusions. He is said to be a powerful deity who protects all the living by burning away all impediments and defilement, thus aiding them towards enlightenment. A deity who serves practitioners by defeating the obstacles and demons which hinder Buddhist practice. In Sanskrit his name means "Immovable". Because he never yields to obstacles. It is said that he enters into a flame-emitting meditation in which he exudes flames and destroys all karmic hindrances. He is popularly depicted as an angry figure surrounded by flames, holding a rope and a sword. The wrath of Acala is said to be capable of striking fear in the vilest of demons and evil spirits. The significance of wearing this Acala Pendant is that it can garner you with protection from those who would wish to do you harm. Wearing it can even repel negative forces and improve your awareness in meditation.
This Fudo Myo-o Pendant is made of oxidized 990 silver. It depicts Fudo Myo-o engulfed in flames with a diabolical face expression.
