This Tibetan mala bracelet is made of Coconut shell. Coconut is known as "Sriphal" in Sanskrit. Which means God's fruit. So, coconut is essentially known as the "fruit of the Gods". However, breaking a coconut symbolizes smashing one's ego and humbling themselves before God. The hard shell of the coconut (ignorance or ego) is smashed away, giving way to inner purity and knowledge (white part of the coconut).
