The highly detailed Buddha Demon Ring tells the story of Siddhartha's final moments before attaining spiritual enlightenment. During those final moments, Mara, the celestial demonic king of the desire realm sought to tempt Buddha, by bringing his most beautiful daughters to seduce him. However, Buddha remained in deep meditation, unhindered by such temptation. Then, Mara sent a vast army of monsters in an attempt to frighten Buddha. But, Buddha still remained unhindered. Ultimately, there was nothing Mara could do to break Buddha's concentration. The Buddha Demon Ring is made of 999 silver, and features and open ring, which is very suitable for larger fingers. In Buddhist cosmography, Mara is a demonic celestial god who runs rampant in Kāmadhātu, the “Desire Realm”. There he attempts to corrupt the other inhabitants of Kāmadhātu, including animals, humans, and demigods, by tempting them with desire and instilling them with fear.
